The Home Ministry today announced the appointment of Masyati Abang Ibrahim as the new director-general of the Registry of Societies (RoS) effective May 23.
Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Alwi Ibrahim said in a statement that Masyati takes over from Surayati Ibrahim who was transferred to the Public Service Department (PSD) on May 22.
Masyati was a senior consultant at the Public Sector Transformation Division of the PSD prior to her latest appointment and had wide experience in administration and management, he said.
A department under the Home Ministry, the RoS handles matters including the registration of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and political parties.
