ATM machines will only operate between 7am and 10pm during the movement-control order, said Bank Negara Malaysia.

In a FAQ released yesterday, the central bank said it will ensure all ATMs nationwide are stocked with sufficient cash to meet the needs of all households and businesses during the MCO period.
“Please note, daily operating hours for ATMs will be restricted from 7am to 10pm for the duration of the MCO,” it said.
Besides ATMs, other self-service terminals, such as cash, cheque and coin-deposit machines will be fully operational and restricted to the same operational hours.
Online banking channels, such as electronic banking, mobile banking, payment card services, and cheque processing services are fully operational while money changing, and remittance services are still available at branches.
“The providers of essential financial services that have been approved to operate during this period are banks, development financial institutions, insurance and takaful companies. But you should expect some disruption or delays in normal branch operations in line with the need to ensure effective crowd containment,” it said.
“Some branches may be closed and branches that are open will have limited counter services or reduced operating hours,” it said while encouraging customers to check on operational hours. – TMI
