Police have revised from 94 to 92 the number of victims involved in the landslide at Father’s Organic Farm in Gohtong Jaya last Friday.
Selangor police chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said the new figure was obtained after several rounds of verification based on information and reports from various parties, including family members of victims.
“There was an overlap of registrations at the farm, that is why we got the initial total number of victims at 94.
“We actually discovered the error a few days ago but we did not rush to announce it as we needed to do extensive checks.

“We are satisfied the official overall number of victims is 92,” he told a press conference at the landslide area this evening.
“This will be the official figure unless there are more parties coming forward to claim that they still have missing family members,” he added.
He said this latest development meant that 30 people were confirmed killed in the landslide, 61 survived and one is still missing.
The lone victim is that of a boy.
Arjunaidi said the authorities will not rest until he is found.
“There is a police report lodged on the missing boy. The search will continue until the boy’s body is found,” he said.
