The body of a man, split into two, was found on the sixth floor of a condominium in Bayan Lepas this morning.

The deceased is believed to have fallen from the 26th floor, where a pair of slippers was recovered.

The sixth floor of the condominium is where the swimming pool, gym and other amenities are located.

Southwest police chief Superintendent Kamarul Rizal Jenal said police were alerted to the discovery of the body at 8.58am today.

He said a worker stumbled upon the broken body parts while doing cleaning works this morning.

“There is a possibility that the body split into two upon impact on the stones at the planter box area. Investigations are still ongoing. Until now, no one has come forward to provide information on the identity of the deceased or the incident itself,” he said today.

Police have classified the case as sudden death.
