A man was found hanged from a pedestrian bridge in Balakong, Selangor, this morning.
The Selangor fire and rescue department said a team rushed to the scene upon receiving an emergency call regarding the incident at 9.50am after a body was first spotted by passers-by early this morning.
A department spokesman said the body of the 56-year-old man was immediately taken down from the pedestrian bridge near Taman Impian Ehsan along the SILK Highway.
The deceased, who was believed to have contracted Covid-19, had complained to his family prior to the incident that he could not bear the pain of the symptoms.
“He claimed he could not take the pain he experienced such as cough, fever and breathing difficulties,” said Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan.
He said the body has been sent to the Kajang Hospital for post-mortem.
