Court registries and related services that have been suspended due to the movement control order will resume operations on May 4, but trials will only start from May 13, said the chief registrar of the Federal Court.
Apart from registries, other services that will resume on May 4 include counters for commissioners for oaths, letters of attorney and e-filing.
The chief registrar said Chief Justice Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat has ordered the resumption of these services following Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s announcement on May 1 that almost all businesses can resume operations under the conditional MCO that starts on May 4.
