A further 127 Covid-19 patients in Malaysia have recovered and were discharged today, the third consecutive day of three-digit recoveries, said Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said this brought the cumulative figure for recoveries to 8,000, or 93.8 percent of the total number of positive cases.
A total of 333 recoveries were reported on Tuesday and 140, yesterday.
Dr Noor Hisham said as at noon today, 14 new positive cases were reported, taking the total number of cases to 8,529.

Three of the new infections reported are imported cases while 11 involve local transmissions.
Of the local transmissions, seven involved foreigners and four are Malaysians.
Three of the seven foreigners infected in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur were close contacts of a case.
Another two cases involving foreigners were discovered in Sarawak from a screening for construction workers.
The remaining two cases involving foreigners involved a detainee at the Penampang Immigration Detention Centre, and another in Perak, who has applied to return to their country of origin.
Of local transmissions involving Malaysians, two are staff of the Bukit Jalil Immigration Detention Centre.
The other two are of a Malaysian who tested positive during a pre-surgery screening at the Sarawak General Hospital in Kuching, and of another person also in Sarawak who tested positive when doing a pre-travel screening.
There are currently 408 active cases, of which four are in intensive care but none of them need breathing assistance or ventilator.
No fatalities were reported today, keeping the death toll at 121 or 1.42 percent.
