Another 100 Covid-19 cases have fully recovered and were discharged today, bringing cumulative recovery cases in the country to 3,862, or 66.8 percent of the total number of cases.
At a press conference, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced there were no new casualties, meaning the death toll remains at 98.
“The total number of Covid-19 infectivity cases stands at 1,820 cases,” he said at the daily Covid-19 media briefing today.
A total of 38 new cases were recorded today, bringing the total to 5,780.
This was the second lowest number of new cases this week, after the previous record of 36 new cases on Monday.
The death toll remains at 98 cases or 1.70 percent of the case tally.
“A total 36 patients are currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 15 of whom are under ventilator support,” he said.
