Malaysia recorded four new Covid-19 infections as of noon today.
Today’s cases follow the third day in a row where the country records single-digit infections.
The four new cases bring the cumulative infections nationwide to 8,600 cases, said Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham in a statement today.

Three of the new cases today are imported, all of which involve Malaysians. The local transmission case is a Malaysian who tested positive for severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) at Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom in Johor.
There are currently 208 active cases or patients who are isolated and receiving treatment.
A total of 40 patients have been discharged, bringing the number of recoveries to 8,271 or 96.2% of all cases.
There are currently two patients being treated in intensive care units, with none requiring respiratory support.
With no fatalities reported today, the death toll remains 121, or 1.41% of all cases.
