Malaysia added another 823 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the total number of cases to 26,565 as of 12pm today.
All cases were locally transmitted.
Sabah again accounted for the highest number of cases, with 533 cases.
In a press statement, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the new cases bring the total number of infections in the country to 26,565.
He said there were 579 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 17,134. The bulk of these recoveries, a total of 288, came from Sabah.
A total of 9,202 people are still being treated, with 99 in intensive care and 30 requiring respiratory assistance.
The health ministry also reported eight deaths, which brings the toll to 229.
