Malaysia recorded 957 new Covid-19 cases today, raising its cumulative tally of infections to 32,505, including 10,036 active cases.
In a statement, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said all the new cases are local transmissions.
Sabah once again recorded the highest number of cases at 644, followed by Selangor (225) and Penang (23).
A total of 97 cases are in intensive care, with 27 requiring breathing assistance.
Meanwhile, 972 patients were declared recovered and discharged from hospitals today, raising the tally of recoveries to 22,220.
No new death was reported today, leaving the death toll at 249. – NST
