Malaysia has reported a double-digit growth in Covid-19 cases for the third day, with 84 infections registered as of noon today.
This has brought the national tally to 5,389.
Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 95 patients have recovered and been discharged as of noon today.
Recoveries stood at 59.3% of the cumulative total of cases.
One death (Case #4,769) was reported today.
The deceased was a 51-year-old Malaysian man with a history of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and kidney disease.
He was in close contact with Case #2,726 and was treated at Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor on April 13, before passing away yesterday evening at 6.47pm.
