Man caught his wife in the act of slitting the throat of their two-year-old son.
A Felda settler was left devastated after he saw his wife killing their 19-month-old child at their home’s bedroom in Felda Jengka 13 near Maran on Father’s Day yesterday.
Muhammad Rizal Jusoh said he was more stunned when his 31-year-old wife kept repeatedly asking him who had murdered their son – Muhammad Nur Rashdan – after the incident.

Recounting the horrific incident, the 41-year-old Rizal said he and Nur Rashdan were initially in the living room while his wife was reading Al-Quran in the room.
“I was watching the World Cup football match on television while Nur Rashdan was sleeping near me. Minutes later my wife came to the living room and informed that she wanted to take Nur Rashdan into the room to sleep.
“Suddenly, I heard my son crying in a very weak voice. I rushed to the bedroom and was shocked to see my wife holding a knife near my son’s throat. I pushed her away and rushed my son to Jengka Hospital,” he said when met today.
Rizal said sadly, Nur Rashdan could not be saved and he was pronounced dead by a medical officer at the hospital.
The father-of-three said he was shocked over the whole incident as all this while his wife has always been protective of their children aged between two and seven years old.
“Even when I scold the three children, she will get angry and tell me not to do so. She will always defend the children. I never expected for her to act in such a manner. I cannot imagine her doing such a thing to our child.

“After the incident, she asked me who killed Nur Rashdan. She did not know what she was doing and I am unsure what led her to commit such a brutal act,” he said.
Rizal said his wife has been experiencing depression since early May and he took her for Islamic healing treatment fearing that she was disturbed by evil spirits.
In the incident on Sunday, the suspect, believed to be mentally unsound, slit the throat of her two-year-old son and her husband caught her in the act in the bedroom about 8.40pm.
State Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Othman Nanyan said the 31-year-old woman, who was hallucinating during the incident, has been arrested. – NST
