JR Deepak Jaikishan today said he will contest Klang as an independent rather than in Pulai, where he had been announced as a Perikatan Nasional candidate.
He said this was as PN had set conditions for him to contest on its ticket in the 15th General Election (GE15).
He said he decided to leave the party as he was not on the same page as PN.
“I don’t agree with PN’s agenda as well as the restrictions it had placed on me as a candidate.
“I am no longer with PN. By going independent, I am automatically out of PN,” he said at the Dewan Hamzah MPK nomination centre. – NST
