Forms 5 and 6 students due to sit for school-leaving examination this year will return to school on June 24, said Education Minister Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin.
He said it involved students sitting for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM), Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan (STPM) and Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) as well as equivalent international examinations.
He said the School Reopening Management Guidelines had been distributed to schools on June 4 as a guide so that detailed preparations are carried out before reopening.
All teachers are required to return to work although only examination bound classes will resume on June 24
“All teachers will return to their respective schools.
“The teachers will be able to diversify their teaching techniques once they have returned to work.
“It will enable them to use facilities at the schools such as printing questions to be distributed to parents and others,” Radzi said.
The reopening of schools for other classes, he added, will be made in stages.
