After news reports claiming he had been sacked as the Umno supreme council member, Pasir Salak member of parliament Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman adamantly says he will make a “return” to the council soon.
Based on an Umno WhatsApp group conversation sighted by the New Straits Times this morning, Tajuddin said Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had the right to sack him.
However, he also warned that just like Zahid, party members too have their rights in choosing which leader they want to support in Umno.
“I will return to the MKT (Umno supreme council) soon, God willing. Previously, (former Umno deputy president Datuk Seri) Anwar (Ibrahim) did (the same) to me but not long after, he was sacked and sent to jail.

“It is within the president’s power to appoint or retract any appointment. That’s his right.
“(Party) members too have the right to do the same. Just wait and see when the members start using their powers,” he wrote in the WhatsApp group. – NST
