Over RM177m loot seizure.

Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has finally presented himself at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters today for questioning over the seizure of approximately RM177 million linked to his former aides.
The session was originally scheduled for March 5 but faced multiple delays after Ismail provided a doctor’s exemption to investigators. In response, MACC officials interviewed his doctor last Friday to determine whether his medical condition warranted the repeated postponements.
Ismail is under investigation in connection with four of his former senior officers, who were implicated in a case that led to the confiscation of RM170 million in cash and 16kg of gold bars. Additionally, MACC conducted raids on three other locations believed to be “safe houses,” where further assets tied to the case were seized.
The ongoing probe is part of a wider effort by authorities to trace the origins of the funds and establish any possible wrongdoing.
