Four accused of murdering a man for allegedly cheating on his wife.

A housewife, her teenage son and two other underage boys were charged at the magistrate’s court in Johor Baru yesterday with the murder of her husband last week.

Tey Lee Yong, 43, and the three teenagers were accused of killing Kiu Kok Ying, 45, at a house in Taman Nusa Bestari on the morning of Jan 17.


They were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the mandatory death penalty upon conviction, which was read together with Section 34 of the same Code.
No pleas were recorded from the accused after the charge was read.
Magistrate Azureen Sahira Saufee Afandi then postponed the case to Feb 28 pending the release of the post-mortem report.
Deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Mohd Nasir appeared for the prosecution, while Tey and her son were represented by counsel Chuah Shyue Chein.
Counsel Ahmad Yusri Ahmad Fuad appeared for one of the teen accused, while the other accused was not represented.
