Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) vice-president Datuk Husam Musa and Kelantan PAN chairman Datuk Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah today confirmed that the Kelantan Palace had revoked their ‘Datuk Paduka’ awards.
According to Wan Rahim, the duo received a letter from State Secretary Datuk Mohd Faudzi Che Mamat yesterday stating that Sultan Muhammad V had revoked their Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (DJMK) (Al-Ismaili II) Ahli Yang Kedua which carries the title Datuk Paduka effective yesterday.

“We have handed over the awards and also my Jaksa Pendamai (JP) to the state party secretary Rushdan Mustapa who handed over the three awards to the Royal Household comptroller Nik Pakheruddin Nik Abdul Kadir about 10am today,” he told a press conference in Kota Baru today, adding that he accepted the decision with an open heart.
Husam also said he accepted the palace’s decision.
“I accept it (the decision to revoke the awards) with an open heart and will remain loyal to the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, no problem. I also do not feel that there is anything wrong with His Majesty’s decision.
“We had accepted the awards (earlier) because such were the decrees by a sovereign and constitutional ruler,” Husam said.
