Khalid Samad defends himself against accusation of disrespecting the Agong, and then attacks Redzuan for lying to the Agong.
Earlier today, former Federal Territories Minister Khalid Samad took to Twitter to defend himself after he was accused by Former Minister of Entrepreneur Development Redzuan Yusof of disrespecting the Agong.

Khalid had claimed that Harapan had the numbers needed to form a government, following the resignation of former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad, but the Agong was purportedly unconvinced.
“But the Agong was not confident, why? Because out of more than 100 MPs, only 40 were Malay and non-Malays numbered more than 60,” he said during a ceramah on Thursday.
Redzuan had asked Khalid to apologise to the Agong for disrespecting his decision in choosing the Prime Minister.
Assuring that what he said in the ceramah was not disrespectful, Khalid tweeted, “We always hope the best for our royal institution, and we would never lie to it.”
Khalid then went on the attack, asking whether current Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Redzuan are willing to deny they lied to the Agong.
In a series of tweets today, Khalid said, “I hope TS Muhyiddin and Redzuan will deny they lied to the Agong.”
“Please prove that Tun M, Syed Saddiq, Maszlee, and Mukhriz supported Muhyiddin.”
Khalid stated that the act of lying to the Agong was a rebellious act and accused Redzuan of it, saying, “You [Redzuan] showed the utmost disrespect to King and Country when you lied and claimed that Tun M & 5 others supported Muhyiddin.”
Khalid also asked Redzuan if he’s willing to apologise to the Agong for lying.
