Following a report by Datuk Farid Kamil over an alleged drug offence, actor Sofi Jikan, 47, has been remanded for three days.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din said Sofi was detained at 11pm yesterday when he went to give his statement at the Mutiara Damansara police station.

“He was giving a statement in connection to a police report lodged by Datuk Farid Kamil.

“We are investigating the case under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952,” ACP Mohd Zani said.

Sofi, whose real name is Mohamad Shoffi Jikan, reportedly tested positive for ganja.

Clad in orange lockup attire, Sofi arrived at the Petaling Jaya Magistrate’s Court at 9.03am today before being brought to the remand room at 11.25am.
