No action against aide over heckling incident.
DAP will launch a disciplinary investigation if a complaint is lodged regarding the outburst against Penang DAP chief Steven Sim last Saturday.
DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke stated that the party’s disciplinary committee has not yet received any reports on the incident.
“If there is a complaint, of course, there will be an investigation by the disciplinary committee. It’s a normal process.
“So far, the person involved has apologised, and the person he shouted at has also accepted that apology,” said Loke, who is also the transport minister, when met after launching the Ninja Cold and Ninja Van’s 10th anniversary in Malaysia today.
The incident occurred on Saturday night during a dinner honouring party veteran Lim Kit Siang, where Sim was heckled.
A man is believed to have directed a vulgar insult at Sim.
