him being prime minister or Negri Sembilan menteri besar amidst a so-called erosion of Malay political powers.
Loke said a former federal minister, whom he did not want to name, had been playing up that a leader from DAP will be made the country’s prime minister someday.
“Every day he is saying (someone from) DAP wants to be prime minister. That Anthony Loke wants to be the prime minister. Every day he is stirring this up.

“Today, Negri Sembilan Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia said Anthony Loke wants to be the Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar.
“We won the 15th General Election. But it was not me who became menteri besar. They (rivals) are saying if the people are not careful, a DAP person or a non-Malay will be prime minister.
“That is the scare tactic played up to frighten the Malays by saying that the political powers of the Malays are fading,” Loke said during an afternoon tea event in Batang Kali today.
It was the campaign trail to support Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional’s candidate for Kuala Kubu Baru, Lee Kee Hiong.
Also present was Selangor DAP chairman Gobind Singh Deo.
Loke said there was no threat to Malay politics because the prime minister, his two deputies as well as foreign, home and rural development ministers are Malays.
He added 80 percent of ministers in the cabinet are Malays and there were only five Chinese and an Indian, whose decisions were made based on consensus.
“So how can they say these four to five DAP ministers dominate all cabinet decisions? It is senseless. So don’t get trapped in such a mindset which tries to put fear in the Malays.
“The Malays have not lost any political power. There have been non-Malay ministers in the cabinet since independence.
“It is not a problem for the country. That has been the model of the administration where other races, too, sit in the government.”
Loke said the Chinese were not the enemies of the Malays and vice versa. He dismissed Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, who said it was considered ‘jihad’ for Muslims to vote if their political power is being challenged by other races.
The ongoing six state elections, said Loke, was not about Malays against the non-Malays.
“We want to go to war to fight corruption and to elevate the country to glory, not fight among races.
“Do not tell me there are such serious racial issues that we have to go to war and be enemies? What is this? Malaysia is multiracial.
“They say Malay politics is under threat because DAP is in the government today. There is Loke. There is Singh (Gobind Singh) who are enemies of the Malays, they say.
“But look at my face, do I look like an enemy to you?” asked Loke.
