CCTV footage that has gone viral shows a man nonchalantly giving a woman a shove in the back as she stood at the edge of a train platform and then walking away as if nothing had happened.
In the recording, a 59-year-old female cleaner with the surname of Leung is walking on platform No 5 at the Yuen Long terminal for the Light Rail’s 761P route.
A 56-year-old man wearing a beige cap, green shirt and brown trousers is walking behind her.

The woman stops and waves to an acquaintance.
As the man draws level with the cleaner, he calmly shoves her in the back with his right hand and she falls onto the track below.
Without even pausing, the attacker calmly walks away.
Thankfully, no train is in sight as the woman struggles to get up.
The man, believed to be a Hong Kong national, was arrested near the rail stop on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm.
It was reported that the woman suffered injuries to her jaw and was sent to Pok Oi hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating the motive behind the attack.
