A 56-year-old man died after his two sons allegedly hit him over money issues.
The man was brought to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital after his daughter found him unconscious at his home at Taman Bercham Sinar, Ipoh, on Thursday (May 9).
Doctors suspect that he was hit on his head.
The victim passed away on Friday (May 10).
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Ali Tamby said another son lodged a police report after being informed about the incident.
“He said that he had asked his brothers about their father and the two claimed that the victim had fallen from his bed.
“He suspected that his brothers were responsible because the victim had previously told him that the brothers used to hit him and took his savings,” ACP Mohd Ali said, adding that the two suspects, aged 20 and 21, lived with their father.
Mohd Ali added that the brothers have been arrested and would be remanded for seven days until May 17 to assist with investigations. – The Star
