A man faces up to a whopping 130 years in prison after pleading guilty in the Johor Baru Sessions Court to five counts of sodomising and molesting his two stepsons.
The 24-year-old man told the court that he understood the repercussion of pleading guilty to the charges.
For the first charge, he was accused of molesting his seven-year-old stepson by inserting his finger into the boy’s anus and was charged under Section 377CA of the Penal Code for having sexual contact with another person by inserting an object without consent.
He faces two other charges for committing a similar offence against his 11-year-old stepson.
The accused is looking at a maximum 30 years in prison for each of the offences committed and is also liable to be whipped.
The man was also charged under Section 377C of the Penal Code with two counts of committing sodomy on the same child and faces up to 20 years in jail for each offence. He is also liable to be whipped if found guilty.
The accused, who works at a prawn breeding pond, committed the offences between April 2016 and July 12 this year at four locations in Mersing.
He was unrepresented and not allowed bail as he was still in a relationship with the mother of the two boys.
The court has set Aug 3 for sentencing at the Criminal Court against child sexual offences.
