Sanusi had suggested for both Barisan Nasional component parties, MCA and MIC, who have opted to sit out the elections – to join PN.

PN was prepared to offer the two parties mixed seats in the coming polls, he said.

Meanwhile, MCA secretary-general Chong Win Soon said quitting the BN was not an option, reported online portal FMT.

Wee’s post’s also was also given a thumbs up from party vice-president Ti Lian Ker.

MCA and MIC declared on Wednesday that they would not be running in the six states’ elections and would instead concentrate on fortifying their positions ahead of the 16th general election (GE16). – NST
