Ship crewman pleads not guilty to causing death of elderly woman.

Nazri Che Lah, 44, charged over the death of Foo Swee Wah, 58, in a hit-and-run accident in Pulau Tikus claimed trial at a magistrate’s court today. The ship crewman, who was not represented, pleaded not guilty to recklessly riding a motorcycle and causing the death of the elderly woman.
Bail was set at RM10,000 and his driving licence has been suspended pending completion of the trial. According to The Star, Nazri has no children and earns RM1,500 monthly. His wife is jobless. The case has been fixed for mention on May 29.
