A small group of Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s supporters gathered in front of the court complex in Kuala Lumpur to see him off as he left the High Court to return to Kajang Prison.

They were heard yelling “Bossku”, “lawan tetap lawan” (keep on fighting) and “Allahuakbar” as the former premier was brought out at around 4.20pm Thursday (Aug 25).

Najib, who then got into a black SUV, lowered a window slightly to wave to the 20-odd supporters.

This morning, about 10 supporters turned up to show solidarity with the Pekan MP when he arrived for the continuation of his 1MDB corruption trial.

At about 8.30am, Najib arrived at the court complex in a convoy with police outriders on four motorcycles, several patrol cars and three SUVs with heavily tinted windows.

Instead of walking up the main entrance at the ground floor where photographers from the media were waiting, Najib entered the court complex from another entrance through the car park.

He walked into the courtroom at level four at 10.40am in a dark blue suit with pinstripes, a light blue short and a blue-and-red striped tie.

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim was also allowed to wear a suit when he was brought to court for cases.

Najib sat down in the wooden dock where there were two cushions already placed for his seat and back.

Najib’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, who was present to lend support to Najib said her husband is doing well after spending two nights in jail so far.

“Datuk Seri is good, Alhamdullilah,” she said while making her way to a black Proton Perdana before leaving the court complex at 3.39pm.

In an Instagram story late Wednesday (Aug 24) night, Najib’s daughter Nooryana Najwa said that her father’s legal team managed to meet him in Kajang Prison on Wednesday.

“Alhamdulilah, Daddy is in good health and his fighting spirit is still strong,” she said in the post.

“Daddy has also been provided with his basic necessities, and he is getting used to his new routine – which is different from Bossku’s usual packed schedule.

“Tomorrow (Thursday), we will meet as a family. Daddy will be in court for the 1MDB trial,” she added.

She also thanked the officials and guards at the Kajang Prison for taking good care of Najib.
