Answered all questions to the best of his ability.

Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak walked out of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commision (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya after spending almost seven hours answering questions about SRC International, the company linked to troubled 1MDB.

“I have answered questions to the best of my ability,” he told reporters, before leaving for home.

Like Najib, Swiss national Xavier Justo, the former Petro-Saudi International executive who leaked information on 1MDB and was subsequently jailed in Thailand, also met with MACC officers for a second time today.

Justo left the building some four hours earlier.

According to Najib, his session today ended at 4.30pm, with a 40-minute break.

“MACC did their job professionally and they informed me that session is over. That’s all,” he said.

On Tuesday, Najib was questioned for over four hours, in the wake of major raids at properties linked to him and his family members, where police seized cash, jewellery and luxury goods worth hundreds of millions of ringgit.
