Najib’s Safe Opened, Said To Contain Cash, Locksmiths Cracking Another 8 Safes

Sentul top cops also visited Najib’s residence this evening.

It was reported that Najib’s safe has been opened and is said to contain cash.

According to Malay daily Sinar Harian, two locksmiths managed to open the old safe which allegedly had been unopened for 20 years after the key was supposedly “misplaced”.

It was reported that the amount of cash has yet to be ascertained.

Investigations are still ongoing and the locksmiths are said to be working on opening eight more safes.

Earlier, four police cars arrived at Najib’s home.

The entourage included Sentul district police chief Mohamed Rafiq Mohamed Mustafa and Sentul criminal investigation department chief Abdul Malik Hasim.

Ten minutes after their arrival at 9.30pm, Najib returned home after breaking fast with his mother Rahah Mohammad Noah.

Yesterday, Najib also broke fast with his mother in her house at Jalan Eaton, Kuala Lumpur, saying he will be strong in facing God’s test.

His wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has not been seen the entire time.
