The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah has not given any consent for Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang to have an audience with the Ruler.

The Marang Member of Parliament had sent a letter to the Perak Palace on Thursday to seek an audience with the Perak ruler to inform his majesty of the “political situation involving PAS”.

When asked about the authenticity of the letter, a palace source said they had officially received the letter.

“As of now to my knowledge, He (Sultan Nazrin) has not given any consent,” the source said when contacted today.

Following this, Perak Pas Commisioner Razman Zakaria today made a formal apology to the Sultan of Perak for failing to heed the Ruler’s summon for an audience last Tuesday.

He expressed his regret in a special press conference today.
