Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that they will be screened upon arrival at the airport, with those testing positive to be sent to hospitals immediately.

“Beginning June 10, Malaysians returning from abroad will no longer be placed at quarantine centres. As soon as they arrive at the airport, they will undergo a swab test.

“Those who are positive will be sent to the hospital for treatment. Those who are negative will undergo a 14-day quarantine in their own homes,’’ Ismail Sabri told his daily press conference today.

He said the wristband allows the authorities to identify those under home quarantine.

He added that those under self-quarantine caught leaving their homes will be fined or even charged.

“You can be jailed and fine if you are charged in court,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri urged Malaysians to download the MySejahtera app before they return home from overseas.

“You have to download the app before flying home,” he added.
