The roof of a double-decker express bus was ripped off when its driver tried to pass under a bridge in Jalan Tun HS Lee, Kuala Lumpur, on Saturday.
In the 6.10pm incident, the bus, which had no passengers on board, was heading for Jalan Duta.
“While driving under the bridge, the driver heard a loud noise. He thought it came from the rear of the vehicle.
“When he got down to take a look, he was shocked to find that the top of the bus was too high for the bridge and the roof had been ripped off. There was also damage to the passenger seats, the front windscreen and all the windows,” City Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Zulkefly Yahya was quoted saying.
The case is being investigated for reckless driving.
