Double the fine of GE13.
Elected Parti Keadilan Rakyat GE14 candidates will have to pay an RM10 million fine if they ‘jump ship’ after winning their respective seats, The Star reported.
According to Negri Sembilan PKR chief Aminuddin Harun, those who were given their candidate appointment letters by president Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail had to sign a legal document to that effect.
“In the last election, the fine was RM5 million. It is higher this time because we expect a closer fight,” he said.
