Cops urge public not to speculate.
Police are seeking information from the relevant local authority and also awaiting a Chemistry Department report in their probe of an incident in which a man died and another was injured after falling from a Ferris wheel at a funfair.
“The case is still being investigated,” Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said when asked on Friday (Nov 12) whether or not the funfair had proper permits, adding that the public was urged not to speculate.
On Thursday (Nov 11), one man died and another was injured after falling off a Ferris wheel at the funfair near a mall in Cheras Selatan.
A 39-year-old man died while another man, also in his 30s, was rushed to Kajang hospital for treatment.
Police discovered no criminal elements in the incident but were still trying to determine if the fall was a result of negligence by the funfair operators or the victims themselves.
The incident has been classified as sudden death. – The Star
