Siti banned for 30 days, Mujahidin for 24 hours.

Revelations on unpaid police summonses:

  • Anwar – 57 amounting to RM8,730 with some dating back to Feb 1999
  • Rafizi – 22 amounting to RM6,450
  • Wan Azizah – four
  • Azmin Ali – two

Activist lawyer Siti Kasim and social activist Mujahidin Zulkiffli have been banned by Facebook for revealing the personal information of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s summonses.

“Yes (I have been banned) because I posted the personal details (of Anwar) but that information is available on the Internet.

“I don’t understand why Facebook banned me and Mujahidin. He was banned for 24 hours and I was banned for 30 days because Facebook said I kept violating their policy,” Siti told The Star on Monday (Oct 15).

Siti said she was not allowed to post anything on Facebook since last Saturday (Oct 13), adding that she was perhaps reported by other users numerous times that had led to the ban.

In a Facebook post of online news portal New Malaysia Times, Mujahidin said he was suspended for revealing Anwar’s personal information.

“My Facebook account is on suspension for revealing your personal information as it violates Facebook Community standards, although I must say that they were obtained legally from publicly obtainable sources.

“Your car plate number and your own IC number are no secret to the public as you had been in court cases various times and anyone may find them if they know where to look,” he said in the post addressed to Anwar.

Mujahidin, who said he was the managing director of New Malaysia Times, said he only used SMS and paid RM0.50 to obtain Anwar’s information.

In the post, Mujahidin had also revealed that Anwar’s wife, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, has four outstanding summonses while Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali had two.

He added that PKR deputy president hopeful Rafizi Ramli had 22 outstanding summonses amounting to RM6,450.

On Oct 12, Mujahidin revealed that the PKR president-elect had 57 unpaid police summonses totalling RM8,730.

He had said that those summonses go way back till February 1999. – The Star
