Police confirmed that the investigation into the death of nine-year-old abuse victim Nur Aina Nabihah Muhammad Abdullah had revealed that the girl’s 11-year-old brother was also abused by their army sergeant father.

According to Port Dickson district Police Chief, Superintendent Zainudin Ahmad, the suspect had confessed to the police but claimed that it was not as bad as what he had done to his daughter.

“Police discovered that the boy, who lived with his father, was also beaten,” Zainudin said yesterday.

It was reported that Nur Aina died on Jan 31 as a result of abuse, with the post-mortem examination result showing that she had succumbed to multiple injuries, including ruptured intestines and broken left ribs.

Following that, her 35-year-old father and 34-year-old stepmother were remanded for seven days.

Yesterday, the magistrate’s court granted a remand extension on the couple for another seven days to further assist with the police investigation.

The case is being investigated under the Penal Code for murder.

On Tuesday, the biological mother of the boy was at Sekolah Kebangsaan Lukut (SKL), accompanied by a man, believed to be handling the transfer process for her son to another school in Kuantan, Pahang.
