PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan was admitted to a private hospital in the Klang Valley on Friday due to heart problems.
“I have yet to contact him, but I heard that he underwent an angiogram and not a major operation,” PAS vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah.
His condition is reported to be stable.
Meanwhile, PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said Takiyuddin was admitted to iHEAL medical centre in Kuala Lumpur. He had an angiogram and safely underwent a health assessment. Doctors told him stents a stent was inserted into a blocked artery.
“He informed me that the doctor has inserted a stent at the blockage.
“He is expected to be discharged in one or two days,” said Tuan Ibrahim.
