A human torso and other body parts have been found along the North-South Expressway.
The grisly find was made on Tuesday (Jan 17) morning by a man who immediately called the police.
Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Shafaaton Abu Bakar said they found a torso as well as a luggage bag at the scene.
“We received a call about the find at around 11.45am.
“The partial body (from waist to neck) was found at the scene while a number of hacked-up body parts were packed into the bag and left there,” she said when contacted.
She said the victim’s head, arms and legs have yet to be found.
“The sex and identity of the body has yet to be determined as the body was not complete and there were no identification documents at the scene.
“We have classified the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code,” she said.
Supt Shafaaton said the body has been sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for an autopsy.
It was reported that the body was chopped into six portions, and parts of the deceased’s remains were found lying on the grass near the bag.
Police suspected the victim to be a male foreigner, based on initial investigation.
