The Umno supreme council has reaffirmed support for Perikatan Nasional, but wants better cooperation based on “respect” and “political consensus”.
It also rejected working with PKR as mooted by former Umno president Najib Abdul Razak.
“The Umno supreme council retained its previous decision without cooperating with PKR and DAP.
“Umno MPs will continue supporting the PN government.
“Umno urges improvements to the principles of cooperation which must be based on the values of respect and political consensus,” said Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in a statement tonight. – Malaysiakini
