There may not be an additional holiday during the Hari Raya week.

“We must have the working spirit,” Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said at a buka puasa event at Bulatan Dataran Putra on Thursday (March 28).

He was asked if the government would designate Friday (April 12) as a special holiday as the first two days of Hari Raya Aidilfitri are likely to fall on Wednesday and Thursday (April 10 and 11).

Last year, the government announced an additional public holiday to mark Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The move was to help people make travel plans.
