A welfare centre caretaker was charged in the Ampang magistrate’s court with three counts of abetting her husband in molesting two girls, two years ago.
Khairulbariah Mian, 29, pleaded not guilty after the charges were read out to her before magistrate Haslinda A Raof on Monday.

According to court documents, Khairulbariah was accused of abetting her husband Zahari Alwi, 56, by using criminal force with the intention to outrage the modesty of two girls aged 10 and 11.
The accused was charge with committing the offences in the living room of two welfare centres in Keramat between December 2015 and 2016.
The charge under Section 109 of the Penal Code read together with Section 354 of the same code provides for a maximum jail term of 10 years or fine, or whipping, or any two of the punishments, upon conviction.
Earlier, deputy public prosecutor Raihanah Abd Razak sought RM30,000 in bail for all the charges.
However, the accused represented by counsel Illynadiah Mohd Yusof appealed on the grounds that Khairulbariah’s father, who is acting as her guarantor, was a pensioner.
The court allowed the accused bail of RM18,000 with an additional condition that she was prohibited to intimidate the victims.
Her case will be heard again on Mar 21
Her husband, who was remanded over the incident, will be brought to court soon.
