Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is currently observing self-quarantine after undergoing a Covid-19 swab test at Avisena Hospital in Shah Alam today.
The Umno president said he took the test because he had attended a meeting on Jan 18 with Pasir Salak member of parliament Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, who tested positive for Covid-19 today.
“At the moment, I am observing self-quarantine at home. Please pray that my family and I are not infected with the Covid-19 virus,” he posted on Twitter.
Earlier today, photos of Zahid, Pekan member of parliament Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Tajuddin in a meeting room were circulated on the social media.
Tajuddin had also attended a press conference last week where Padang Rengas member of parliment Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz was present.
Nazri was then confirmed positive for the infection on Jan 18.
Nazri was a close contact of a Blogger Zaharin Mohd Yasin who attended Nazri’s press conference on Jan 12.
Zaharin later announced that he had been tested positive for Covid-19. – NST
