Advisers PH Ministers Could Do With

They should invest more in getting better advisers rather than shooting off their mouths.

Ever since the new Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration came into power, there have been numerous flip-flops by these rather inexperienced group of ministers.

Many of their statements drew brickbats from the people and sadly, some of those who criticised them were pretty merciless.

For me, I personally think this is rather unfair, though I admit some of the statements and suggestions made were dumb and baseless.

During the Barisan Nasional regime, there was plenty of nonsense going on and most glaring was the large scale corruption at the time.

Sure, these PH ministers are absolutely inexperienced and I guess most are more used to being backbenchers and critics at the time.

Based on this, should we be so harsh on them or give them more time?

After all, we did give BN plenty of time, so why are we being so critical, so fast this time around?

I am not trying to defend any of them, but am just thinking out loud.

As a layman, I would think that Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s sudden return as the Umno president is more cause for concern than anything else.

This man has made history with the most number of corruption charges against him, yet he is so arrogant and can boast that he is the rightful, elected president of Umno.

I smell a rat and personally, am more worried about these guys than the flip-flops by PH ministers.

It has been about 15 months since PH came into power and from what I understand, things have been pretty tough for them.

Apart from being freshies, they also have to face the strong resistance from the civil servants they work with, many of whom are used to the BN “bolehlah” culture.

The best thing for PH ministers to do at this point would be to dig a little deeper into their coffers and get the right people to advise them.

Listen to this advice and consult those in the know before shooting off your mouths.
