So, who did it?
Will Tun Dr Mahathir go back on his promise with Anwar?
The entire fiasco involving the gay porn video implicating Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali was probably triggered by the appointment of the new MACC chief.
Why was Latheefa Koya appointed in such a rush and why was it done without even the knowledge of Cabinet ministers?

Fine, the premier does have the sole discretion to make such an appointment, but was there some other motive behind it all?
Well, for most of us, there obviously seemed to be something more to her appointment.
Since Latheefa’s appointment, the rumour mill has been working overtime and numerous allegations have since surfaced
So, who exactly is behind the gay porn video incident?
As a former journalist who covered numerous overseas assignments, I know for a fact that only very limited people have access to a Minister’s hotel room.
Apart from the possibility that someone in the hotel itself was paid to plant the camera, the others possibly responsible are very limited.
It would have been pretty impossible for Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz to enter Azmin’s room alone and it is doubtful that he could have strategically placed the camera before getting into bed.
Based on this, it would not be too difficult for the police to determine who actually recorded the entire session.
While the guessing game as to who was responsible continues, coffee shop talk brings us to the next question of when is Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim actually going to become prime minister?
One wonders why Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is yet to announce a handover date.
After all, everyone knows it was part of the deal Dr Mahathir had with PH before the last general election, that he would hand over the leadership to Anwar after two years.
What would happen then if Dr Mahathir refuses to do so? Personally, I feel this would be akin to handing power back to Umno on a silver platter come the next general election.
Up till now, Umno has remained silent on this issue and one cannot underestimate the leadership of Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
For most, I believe they would return to Umno as long as Najib, Rosmah and Zahid Hamidi are no longer front-runners.
A combination of Mohd Hasan and Khairy Jamaluddin could be lethal and if this kind of nonsense continues to persist in PH, voters are simply going to get put off.
Dr Mahathir should keep his promise and do the honourable thing and hand over the prime minister’s post to Anwar.
After all, PKR and PH as a whole were built on the Reformasi spirit which was started after Anwar got arrested then.
As for Azmin, he should also decide on doing what is right, considering investigations are ongoing and there is no concrete evidence yet to prove the video was a fake.
