Police have apparently discovered the original Semburit video involving Datuk Seri Mohd Azmin Ali and Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz.

Sources revealed that a number of journalists were informed that the said video could be found at the Restoran Rebung, which is just a few metres from Bukit Aman.

Soon after, a team of policemen is believed to have raided the said restaurant and confiscated the master copy of Semburit.

The video was leaked and later went viral on social media. To date, police have yet to release any statement with regards the matter.

From the video, we can assume that the recording was done on purpose as Haziq can be seen adjusting the angle of the camera prior to the incident.

The question here is why haven’t the cops said anything so far? Are they waiting for instructions from certain hidden hands before actually releasing a statement?

At this point I would also like to remind the people about what was said by our Attorney-General at the time.

Tommy Thomas had made it clear that if there was new evidence, investigations could be reopened.

From my point of view, this is clearly new evidence and there is no reason why the police have to remain silent.

I urge the AG and IGP to come forward and do the rightful thing.

We should not let this whole matter be manipulated by hidden hands and there should certainly be no selective prosecution.

The police must come clean on this matter and not wait for instructions from a certain person.

Apart from the recording itself, police also have the confession of one of those involved and there is certainly no reason for them not to act this time.

There should be no cover-ups nor must there be preferential treatment and the police must conduct a clean, fair investigation.
