Malaysia’s first ever gold medal from synchro at the Games.
Cheong Jun Hoong and Pandelela Rinong bagged the gold in the 10m synchronised platform when they collected 328.08 points after five jumps while compatriots Leong Mun Yee-Nur Dhabitah Sabri won the bronze after collecting 308.16 points.
The silver was won by Canadian pair Meaghan Benfeito-Caeli McKay with 312.12 points.
Jun Hoong and Pandelela will return for the women’s individual 10m platform tomorrow.

With diving’s one gold and two bronzes, Malaysia’s medal tally at the Commonwealth Games is now 3-3-5.
