Maria will resign as Chairman of Bersih 2.0 and run in GE14.
Maria Chin Abdullah will contest in the 14th general election, purportedly under Pakatan Harapan (PH).

“I have decided to resign from Bersih 2.0 as the Chair and to take on a new challenge in the political arena,” read a message inviting the media to a press conference regarding the matter that has been scheduled for March 6.
It is unclear if she will formally join a PH party or merely run under one of the parties’ banners.
When contacted for comment, Maria just said “Come to the pc. Tq”.
It was reported that Maria was slated to run in Petaling Jaya Selatan, where incumbent Hee Loy Sian has served two terms under the PKR banner.
Former Bersih chairman Ambiga Sreenevasan is also said to be a potential candidate to take on MIC president Datuk Seri Dr S Subramaniam in Segamat.
Some activists have contested in previous elections under Opposition party tickets, such as environmentalist Wong Tack who ran under DAP in the 13th general election against MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai in Bentong. Liow won by 379 votes.
Wong is now a Pahang DAP committee member.
