A perfume entrepreneur has slammed allegations of being involved with PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Adrielle Iman, CEO of AV Perfume, said he was only a supporter, referring to his presence at several events in Port Dickson held when Anwar was campaigning for the Parliamentary seat recently.
“As an ambassador of Quantum Metal, I was directed to go to Port Dickson as Quantum Metal was the main sponsor of five events involving Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim when he was contesting there.
“I supported and played my role as an ambassador and there was nothing personal,” Adrielle said.
Previously, several social media postings indicated that a video had gone viral allegedly of Adrielle and Anwar in a compromising situation.
“I will take action and sue those who spread things that are not true about me. I have solid proof, I am brave because I am right.
“Do not believe in propaganda and slander. Enough of dirty politics. I do not deserve this,” he posted.
Adrielle further pointed out that Anwar was not in the video being shared.
He also asked if people were certain that the naked person in the video was him.
“Would you like a better editor because I can recommend my videographer. He does a better job at editing,” Adrielle said.
“I have dignity. My family has dignity.
“Many times people had spread fake rumours about me, but this time it is going over the limit. I will not remain silent anymore,” he wrote on his Instagram account.
Adrielle said he had enough of “dirty political games”.
“I am just an ordinary citizen and a supporter. That video showing me naked, DSAI (Anwar) was nowhere in it,” he said.
On Oct 13, Anwar won the Port Dickson by-election with a 23,560-vote majority, returning to Parliament just five months after he was released from jail.
Anwar was sentenced to five years’ jail over a charge of sodomising his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
Saiful was also among the candidates who stood against him in Port Dickson.
